How credits work and how to top up
Credits are the platform's unified unit of account: generation, hosting, storage, and top-ups all run on credits. This chapter does the math.
1. Where credits are spent
- Generation: charged by actual usage; prices show in the "Generate" dialog and the usage panel;
- Hosting: 2 apps are hosted free; from the 3rd app onward it's 100 credits per app per 30 days (see "Deploy & go live");
- Storage expansion: 2–5GB costs 150 credits / 30 days; 5–10GB costs 400 credits / 30 days (see "Data & users");
- Expert teams: they load several large methodology skills, so they consume noticeably more than a normal conversation (see "Bring in expert teams").
2. Where credits come from
| Way | Notes |
|---|---|
| Signup bonus | New users get 100 credits on registration |
| Top-up | See below |
| Free allowance | Accounts not connected to Cloudflare have a free tier; when it runs out, you're guided to connect and continue |
3. Top-up rules
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Single top-up | $1 – $140 |
| Daily cumulative | $200 cap |
| Credit balance | 20,000 credits cap per account |
The rate is $1 = 100 credits, with a $1 minimum. Credits arrive instantly — no waiting.
4. When the free allowance runs out
Generation pauses and a prompt guides you to connect your own Cloudflare (free) to continue. Once connected, generation consumes your own AI Gateway quota but daily usage limits still apply to every account and can't be waived — not even by connecting your own Cloudflare or using your own keys. You can connect or disconnect anytime in the usage panel.
5. Other small questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Do credits expire? | No — credits stay valid long-term. |
| Can I get a refund? | Top-ups are non-refundable — top up what you need. |
| Where do I see my usage? | Avatar in the top right → Usage: balance, spend details, and hosting status. |
