I'll build it: post your idea
An "I'll build it" post is an idea post addressed to the community: tell people what you plan to build and hear what they think. It's a different post type from "I want" — check the type before you post.
The difference between the two post types
| I want | I'll build it | |
|---|---|---|
| Who posts | Someone who wants something | Someone ready to build it themselves |
| What they hope for | Someone else to make it | Feedback that validates real demand |
| After posting | Watch the likes and wait for good news | Head back to the workspace and build it |
The "I'll build it" card on the home page and the "I'll build it" type you pick when posting in "Find ideas" are the same thing.
How to post an idea
- Click "Find ideas" in the top navigation
- Click "Post an idea / request"
- Choose type "I'll build it"
- Title: "I'll build…" — one sentence saying what you plan to make
- Description: use scenario + the features you plan to build
- Click "Post"
What you get after posting
| Benefit | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Likes | Likes mean real demand — worth investing time in |
| Comments | Free early feedback that helps you avoid building something nobody uses |
| Visibility | Posts are sorted by "Latest" and "Trending"; the more interaction, the higher they rank |
| A ready-made brief | Copy the post into the workspace and you have a complete opening description |
A recommended path from idea to reality
- Post "I'll build it" in "Find ideas" and describe clearly what you're making
- Wait a day or two and see what the likes and comments say
- Fold the feedback into your description, paste it into the workspace input box, turn on "Plan mode" and let it propose a plan first
- When it's built and deployed, reply to your own post with "done, link here" and paste the URL
- To reach more people, publish it to the app gallery
Posting tips
- Put the specific target in the title: "I want to build a tax calculator for freelancers" is ten times better than "I want to build a finance tool"
- State what you won't build up front — it filters out a lot of irrelevant suggestions
- List 3–5 features under "I want it to look like this" — more effective than long paragraphs
